The Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL 24–90 mm f/2.8–4 ASPH. features a broad focal range, a 0.3 m minimum focusing distance, and 1:3.8 magnification. Its optical stabilization extends exposure by up to 3.5 stops. The lens includes four aspherical elements and eleven with anomalous partial dispersion for excellent chromatic correction. Autofocus is quick, quiet, and precise, driven by a stepper motor and linear guide, while the rectangular hood reduces reflections and stray light.
