Image Stabilization
GFX100S features a redesigned, powerful in-body image stabilization (IBIS) system that is 20% smaller and 10% lighter than the version found in the GFX100. Amazingly, despite this reduciton in size and weight, it is still able to provide up to six stops of five-axis stabilization, which dramatically broadens the possibilities for image-makers everywhere to confidently create handheld images in a multitude of circumstances and a variety of lighting conditions.
More Tonality
GFX100S delivers wonderfully smooth tones with incredibly subtle color gradations, thanks to advanced sensor technologies that produce exceptional results. This is not only a result of the sensor’s overall resolution, but also because it incorporates a back-illuminated design, which allows light to hit the sensor more directly to produce images with more detail and less overall noise. Face-Eye Detection AF
GFX100S uses an advanced Face and Eye Detection autofocus algorithm to ensure portrait images are perfectly in focus, even when using wide apertures to create images with shallow depth-of-field.
For ultimate precision, use Eye Detecion AF and prioritize which eye to focus on, or use Face Detection AF in combination with GFX100S’s touchscreen or Focus Lever to select, track, and perfectly expose one face in a crowd of people.
Autofocus in the Dark
Combine GFX100S with GF80mmF1.7 R WR and achieve focus in light levels as low as -5.5EV through the camera’s phase detection autofocus pixels, which deliver fast and accurate AF performance reliably.

In addition to the deliberate ergonomic choices to prioritize in-hand comfort, the camera also blends a top-plate PASM dial with customizable function (Fn) buttons, which will make it familiar to both new and existing X Series users.
